Ignis Stupeo Scientia is a character/party member in Final Fantasy XV. He was raised close to Noctis, and adventures alongside him along with Prompto and Gladiolus. Ignis is nicknamed Iggy / Specs by the rest of the group. Throughout the story he wears Glasses/Visors with a black suit.

In terms of Personality Ignis can usually be found giving the group invaluable information, and even driving and cooking for the rest. His attacks and abilities reflect this, as he often finds the weaknesses or strong points of an enemy-then exploits them. Because of his intellect , he can often be found as funny in unexpected situations. He also has a tendency to want things to work out perfectly, often stepping in and getting frustrated when things don't work his way.
Starting from where the story picks up in the main game (FFXV), Ignis goes along with the others to accompany Noctis on his trip to Altissia. When they can't cross to Altissia and the party learns that the Empire has taken over the Royal Capital, he continues to keep everyone composed. Ignis then helps Noctis gain the weapons of his forebears to regain his kingdom from the Empire.

Once the arms in the area are gained, Ignis comes along to repair King Regis's Boat and finally head to Altissia. He then conjures a plan to help Noctis fend off Leviathan, awakened by Lunafreya, to forge his covenant. During this, he permanently damages his eyesight. The party worries for his ability, especially Gladiolus, but he continues to push forward along with Noctis.
After the events including Leviathan, Ignis continues to tag along so Noctis can continue his quest for the Royal Arms. With the fact of Ignis being not as capable as before, the party is socially affected. Ignis realizes this and fixes it at once. With more of these Royal powers, they take a train ride to the Imperial Capital, and Prompto is captured. Afterwards the three are attacked by Imperial forces, and Ignis is then cut off from Noctis, forcing him to catch up with him later. Noctis was forced to fend off enemies with only the ring entrusted to him by Lady Lunafreya. From here on, they rescue Prompto and completely regroup to purge onto the crystal. Throughout the fight to the crystal, Ignis remains confident in Noctis.

Though Iggy is not directly playable, you can change his gear and give commands to him in battle. He wields daggers for primary arms, and daggers/ magic for secondary arms. Back in the days of Final Fantasy Versus , he wielded a katana.
