Heya guys!

So lately I've been working on a Mud Shimeji and thought that you guys would like to know how to make your own!

In this video you'll learn step-by-step how to create completely custom animations to announce that you're streaming for your social media. Also included is. It’s a cod-tier Gamzee Shimeji, custom made and all that, with more than 46 images and a lot of custom animations! Also, consider it a continued work in progress since I plan on adding more animations in the future as I get the time/inspiration!

Whats a Shimeji you ask?

Well, they are these cute little characters that walk around on your computer screens while you run other programs.

Basically, they are little characters trapped on your computer xD

So, heres how to make one!

Thank you to Sansy for letting me use their OC in this tutorial!

Step One:

You'll need an existing Shimeji on your computer. These are really easy to find though so do not worry! But I'd suggest using a sans Shim as it just makes things a bit easier.

Once you have one, you're ready for step 2!

Step Two:

Once you have the Shim downloaded, copy the folder and paste it on your desktop by righting clicking any blank space on your desktop.

Step Three:

Open the folder and find the sub folder titled 'Img'

This folder will hold all the images used in the Shimeji's animation, along with a few other files.

DO NOT TOUCH THE OTHER FILES ONLY THE IMAGES ARE NEEDED

Select the sub sub folder (many folders such organize) and find the first image.

Step Four:

Open the image in your art program.

I use MediBang, but other programs such as PhotoShop work as well.

Step Five:

Time to start tracing! Make a new layer and, using red, trace over the body. You do not need to worry too much about details here! Just change the arms, legs or eyes here!

Step Six:

Once you have finished your first trace, delete the original layer and get ready to trace again!

How

This time with black, trace over the image once more, adding details along the way.

Step Seven:

Once you are finished with the final tracing, its time to start adding some colour and some extra details!

Step Eight (wow theres a lot of steps xD):

Save the image in the folder which you found it. This will replace the original image but that is exactly what you want.

Go through the folder and double check that it is there before moving onto the next step!

Step Nine:

Now its time to test your first frame of your Shimeji!

Go back to the first folder and scroll until you find the 'Shimeji-ee' option.

This should have an icon that looks like a little stick figure in a TV.

Double click this option and wait for the window to pop up. Select, 'Use Selected' and wait for your Shimeji to drop down!

For now, you will only have the standing Shimeji set as what you want. Go through all the images (and there is A LOT) and repeat these steps to get the full animation with your character.
